We have begun reading THE ONE AND ONLY IVAN and have read to page 55. We have met the main characters, Ivan, Stella, Bob, Mack, and Julia. What do you think of the book so far? What do you like and dislike about it? What do you think will happen?
so far, i like the book!! what i like about the book is how it keeps you wondering about what will happen next, will the go bankrupt or stay in buisness? what i dont like about this book is that is almost seams like the author is talking to us ike we are sorta like we are little kids. I thimk Ivan will show everybody what he can do and will attract visitors again and the Big Top mall wont go out oh buisness.
So far i think that the book is great, I like how it always ends with cliff hangers. One thing i don't like about this book is how Ivan seems so sad in his domain. I think next Ivan will start to get more people to come visit him by acting like the gorilla on the Big Top Mall sign. So then I think that Big Top Mall will not go out of buisness
That is a good point, Ian. I was thinking that might be why WONDER didn't win the Newbery, but then I remembered Daisy died in WONDER, so I am still left wondering why WONDER didn't win...
I think that the Big Top Mall will go bankrupt, they don't get a lot of visitors.
